How to Set Up Domain Forwarding (Redirect) for eNom Domains at KartHost

Summary:
If your domain is registered with eNom and managed through KartHost, you can easily set up domain forwarding (URL redirect) right in the KartHost Customer Center, provided your domain is using the appropriate nameservers. 

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Log in to the KartHost Customer Center
2. Go to DNS Management
   Navigate to: Domains ? My Domains
   Find and select the domain you want to forward.
   Click on DNS Management in the Manage menu.
3. Add URL Redirect Records
   In the DNS Management area, you will see a table of host records.
   For each Host Name you want to forward (e.g., @ for your root domain and www for the www version), select URL Redirect from the Record Type dropdown.
   In the Address field, enter the full destination URL, e.g., https://destinationdomain.com.
   Optionally, to forward all subdomains, add a * record with URL Redirect as well.
   
   

   Host Name	Record Type	Address (Destination)
   @	URL Redirect	https://destinationdomain.com
   www	URL Redirect	https://destinationdomain.com
   *	URL Redirect	https://destinationdomain.com

4. Save your changes
5. Allow for Propagation
   DNS/redirect changes may take up to 24 hours to become fully active across the Internet.

Additional Notes

• For forwarding to work, your domain must be using eNom’s default nameservers (dns1.name-services.com, dns2.name-services.com, etc.). If you are using custom nameservers, these settings won't apply.
• URL Redirect will redirect visitors and display the new destination URL in their browser.
• Alternatively, you can select URL Frame to forward but keep your original domain name in the browser’s address bar.
• You can use the wildcard (*) host record to catch all subdomains if required.
• If you use email or other DNS services, ensure you don’t remove or overwrite critical MX or service records during this process.

What You’ll See

The DNS Management screen will show URL Redirect as an option in the record type dropdown.
Enter the destination in the Address box as shown below:
