The latest version of WordPress 5.8.0 has been released as of today. So, the big question is should I upgrade? Good question. And the answer to that is Yes.

With that said, our policy is to always wait until a maintenance release has been released in 2 to 3 weeks after main release. This will be version 5.8.1 at this time we do not know when it will be released (usually in 10 to 20 days).

If you would prefer to go ahead and upgrade, you certainly can, but remember make a backup of your site before you do. KartHost makes daily backups and if you give us at least an hour or so notice (during normal business hours) we will be happy to create another backup for you. Do this via a WordPress Help Desk Ticket.

If you have our EZWP Complete or Managed WordPress  hosting, we will be upgrading your site to 5.8.0 over the next 30 to 40 days. If you want 5.8.0 sooner just open a WordPress HelpDesk Ticket and request. Our DIY Self-Managed WordPress clients. You can upgrade at your discretion.
