KARTHOST no longer allows your outgoing emails to be sent using PORT 25 (which is the standard port for outgoing mail, spammers love it). You now MUST use PORT ### to use SMTP Outgoing from your PC (or Mac) based email client or any web based software, like shopping carts, CMS's like Joomla, Interspire Website Publisher etc to send email. To set up Microsoft Outlook Express:

  1. Open Microsoft Outlook Express
  2. Go to Tools > Accounts
  3. Click the Mail tab to open a list of your mail accounts
  4. Double click the account that has the problem
  5. Click the Advanced tab
  6. Change "Outgoing mail (SMTP)" from 25 to ###
  7. Click OK and Close
  8. You should be able to send mail

Change SMTP (Outgoing) PORT in Mozilla Thunderbird:

  1. Open Mozilla Thunderbird.
  2. Go to Tools > Account Settings
  3. In the list on the left, select "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" at the bottom of the list
  4. Select the account you need to change from the list on the right and click Edit
  5. Change Port from 25 to ###
  6. Click OK and OK
  7. You should be able to send mail

Change SMTP (Outgoing) PORT in Microsoft Outlook 2003

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > E-mail Accounts
  2. On the E-mail Accounts wizard window, select "View or change existing e-mail accounts" and click Next
  3. Click the Mail tab and choose the account you need to modify
  4. Click "More Settings"
  5. Click the Advanced tab
  6. Change "Outgoing server (SMTP)" from 25 to ###
  7. Click OK, Next, and Finish

Change SMTP (Outgoing) PORT in Microsoft Outlook 2007

  1. In Microsoft Outlook, select Tools > Accounts Settings
  2. On the E-mail Accounts Settings Window select the email account that is using the KARTHOST SMTP Outgoing mail server.
  3. Click the "Change..." icon
  4. Click "More Settings"
  5. Click the Advanced tab
  6. Change "Outgoing server (SMTP)" from 25 to ###
  7. Click OK, Next, and Finish
